I wrote a novella (it’s 60 pages, that makes it a novella,,, right?? Or is it a short story… whatever :P) about a kidnapping involved in the great Alcatraz escape. I was thinking of getting a few copies of it through self publishing (probably not too many as it gets pretty expensive :P) and it needed a cover, so I drew this. After all, every true reader judges a book by its cover XD
This is sort of a late Harry Potter birthday thing (July 31). This piece didn’t turn out quite how I wanted it, but I liked doing the lit wand (Lumos :P) because I like learning about making things looking like they’re glowing 🙂 I think the character design is pretty good, just some of the colors + lighting aren’t perfect 😉 Anyways, I hope you like it!
“EXPECTO PATRONUM!”
Tonks is my favorite character in the Harry Potter series because she is SO AWESOME! She’s an auror who risks her life multiple times, doesn’t discriminate against sub-humans (she MARRIED a were-wolf!), and has super cool hair that can change color 🙂 The hair in the movies doesn’t really appeal to me, so I drew what I think Tonks’s hair should look like 🙂
The lighting was very tricky in this piece and it is not perfect, but I’m glad that I got to practice it and it was a great learning experience 🙂

So if any of you have read The Hunger Games, you’ll know that the capitol is a place of strangely dyed skin, ‘insteresting’ outfits, and just craziness in general 🙂 I decided to draw a girl from The Capitol for fun- it was really weird working with blue skin! XD
